Book of the Month: Zero to One by Peter Thiel

February 2, 2017

BOTM (Recommended by Keenan): Zero to One by Peter Thiel is a fantastic read about start-ups and building a sustainable future. He often compares his experience in building PayPal to startup environments of today. From tips on how to dress for investor pitches to why Green Businesses are failing, this book gives great examples and hints on how to build a successful business. I have a extremely high interest in Green Tech and this book addressed a lot of questions I had about getting into the business.

Favorite quote: “What important truth do very few people agree with you on?” if you can answer that you can potentially create a monopoly.

I would recommend this book for anyone looking to get into Green Tech or identifying potential markets to get into and create a monopoly. It addresses questions you should be asking yourself before starting your business and why sales can be more important than the actual product.

Next book is Blue Ocean Strategy by W. Chan Kim.
**I can also send my full book reports to anyone that wants them!
