“there are no bad teams, only bad leaders”
Why I chose this book:
I’ve heard and read about Jocko before and was curious what his incredibly disciplined attitude and mind had in store in Extreme Ownership. He literally takes a picture of his watch around 4:30a everyday along with a puddle of sweat to earn the sunrise.
I’m not usually a fan of war books but this is far from it. Jocko and Leif take real life stories from the battlefield, turn them into principles and then take real life examples from their business consulting company Echelon Front. What really drew me in were these intense stories from being in battle and the absolute mental insanity these Navy Seals have.
Anyone in a leadership position or on/leading a team that has more negativity than positivity. You can take ownership from the top to the bottom of any situation.
